I’m so into these three trees.
I take Great Grandma Jana Bell on a hike most mornings at Cherokee Park. I make it a point to check on this group of trees when I’m up there and at this point, I would say we are all friends.
Any time the wind blows, this tree sings.
I wasn’t able to get to them for several days after a bad storm that blew through because of other downed trees. I was filled with joy when I was finally able to visit them again and to see that she was still being held up by her neighbors.
I just relate so hard to all of them. I really love the support, determination, and community that these trees represent to me.
So I drew them.
